About Karasa

Karasa is a small Cairo-based stationery brand making thoughtful, well-made paper goods for people who still write things down.

The name كراسة is what Egyptian schoolkids call their notebooks — the kind we filled with handwriting, doodles, and homework that mattered for a week. That tactile relationship with a blank page is what we build around: notebooks you'll actually want to open, pens that feel good in the hand, planners that don't try to do too much.

What we make

Every notebook and journal we sell uses paper sourced for one thing: it has to take ink without bleed-through. We test it ourselves with the fountain pens, gel pens, and markers our customers tell us they use. If a paper doesn't pass, it doesn't go on the cover.

Where we make it

Our notebooks are bound by a small print shop in Mokattam that's been doing this work for two decades. Our planners are printed locally in Cairo. Pens, pencils, and accessories are sourced from manufacturers we've visited in person.

How to reach us
